Rihanna Has Considered Over 500 Songs For Upcoming Album
As rumors continue to pour out about Rihanna’s next album, some information has just been gathered by Rolling Stone on the matter and it’s looking like we may even be lucky enough to receive two projects. With the star working hard on her Savage x Fenty lingerie line, acting roles, and numerous clothing drops, she seems to be putting aside time to work on what made her famous in the first place: her music. With Anti now two and a half years in the past, the demand for new Rihanna is high. Unearthing some information from multiple sources involved with RiRi’s team, Rolling Stone has reason to believe the star is dropping two albums: one dancehall and one pop.
Of course, this has been rumored for about a month but this is the first we hear of it from a major source. For the upcoming dancehall project, Rihanna looks to explore her Caribbean roots, collaborating with some of the biggest reggae and dancehall producers and singers. Contributors have reportedly submitted over 500 songs by sources like R. City, Ricky Blaze, Kranium, Chronixx, Supa Dups and others.
With several of the star’s most popular singles being in the dancehall realm, it’s no surprise to see her taking this direction if this ends up being true. The arrival of both albums is currently unspecified and it’s unclear whether or not they will drop together but with 500 songs to sift through, her team may be up day and night preparing this project.
